In the summer of 1996, situated on the rugged Northwest coast of Oregon, PESCATORE ART    had its inception.  Starting out as J.T. Childs Studio Gallery, the business was located on the second floor at 820 SW Bay Blvd, Newport,Oregon.

That summer and tucked into Newport's Historic District , the future PESCATORE ART    had begun. The aim of the owner, Mi "Mimi" Y. Childs, (wife of Pescatore) was to have an unique studio/gallery, truly independent from the run-of-the-mill.

The studio/gallery exclusively offered (and still does)the artwork of Pescatore.  This was the period when Pescatore signed his work with his surname Childs. The mission statement at the time was:

" For affluent professionals with sophisticated tastes, the exclusive J.T. Childs Studio Gallery creates investment art that provides a lifetime of enrichment and financial security."

Since then, Mimi has added to that statement "it is for all those who want to experience art that is created with a purity of expression."

In 2007, after immersing themselves in the beauty of Oregon for eleven years (one of the most prolific times for Pescatore) Mimi and Pescatore decided to leave the damp Northwest and dryout in the unquestionably warmer climate of Houston, Texas.  By 2011, J.T Childs Studio Gallery had evolved to the trademarked brand that is known today as PESCATORE ART®

The new gallery was located at 5555 Morningside Drive, Houston, TX in the heart of Rice Village.  Once again it was set on the second floor, but this time above an Irish pub (somehow appropriate).  The landlord, unwilling and unable to repair the leaking roof  led the patient Mimi to pack up and move on.

By 2014 Mimi had decided, along with Pescatore, to create a business model that was less likely to disrupt productivity and avoid incompetent distractions; thus PESCATORE ART    came to volition as:

www.pescatoreart.com

Instead of  being physically confined and at the whim of others who have their own agenda, Mimi wanted more freedom to allow Pescatore to increase his plein air time and give more exposure to his performance events along with pursuing the additonal goal of bringing his art more directly to the people.

And so this is where PESCATORE ART   stands today; a fluid business model based on innovation, creativity and public access.
